Office Procedure

The office has three lawyers and several administrative assistants. Court cases are handled in several different counties, ranging from Colusa to Tehama, in addition to Chico and Oroville, as well as DMV hearings in Oroville and Sacramento.

The office is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, there is usually an attorney in the office by 6:00 a.m. and frequently until 7:00 p.m., in addition to most weekends in order to keep current on legal research, letters, and returning emergency phone calls.

On a daily basis, the staff review written correspondence sent to this office, e-mail, pleadings, and documents from courts, district attorneys, and expert witnesses.

The office staff is extremely experienced and will be able to assist you in regard to general questions about your case. In addition to speaking the office staff, it is helpful if you submit in writing, either by e-mail, mail, or fax, any questions and/or concerns that you have. An attorney will respond to your inquiries in writing.

If possible, please send all correspondence either typed or printed legibly. Please make sure any correspondence that you send (including checks), fax, or e-mail, have the client name on them so that this can be added to your specific client file. Documentation that is received without the client name attached may be delayed in being processed.

After each court appearance made on your behalf, the office will issue a letter or email explaining what took place, when the next hearing date is, and when your attorney will need to meet with you. If anything extraordinary happens, you will be contacted by phone.

If you need to speak directly with your attorney, please make a phone or in person office appointment.
